The Fourth of July is such a great holiday – America’s birthday. July 4th is a delight for the senses. The smell of food on the grill, the sound of laughter from kids playing in the pool or on the beach, the taste of sweet watermelon, and the night sky full of fireworks. Although the celebration may be different for each person, one thing for certain is that you will see red, white and blue everywhere. Clothing will range between those donning a simple t-shirt with the American flag to those opting for a full ensemble of red, white, and blue.
I usually go with a look that features our great nation’s colors. This lightweight, ruffled, seersucker top from Shein is a classic and perfect for the holiday, or any summer day. It has an open back that ties at the top, making it ideal for those sweltering summer days. Plus, this Shein top is a bargain at $11. It’s also available in a variety of colors – click here to see the options.
I wanted to pair the top with some red shorts I spotted at the J Crew outlet, but they were sold out of my size. So, I opted for these white shorts and a shade of red lipstick. I also added a Tory Burch hat (old) that has a red-orange hue mixed in the design. In hindsight, I have a red belt I could have paired with the shorts for a little more flare.
Although I’m wearing wedges, in reality, if I was going to a cookout, I’d be wearing my navy blue Tory Burch flip flops. The wedges just make me look taller. I’m 5’1″ (barely) so I need all the height I can get!
Whatever you decide to do, or wear, for this Fourth of July holiday – have fun, be safe, and stay stylish!
A special thanks to Shein for sending me this adorable top to share with my readers.
