Green is one of my favorite colors. It usually brightens my eyes, but even this pretty top could not save my eyes on this day. These pictures were taken last month and as they say “a picture is worth a thousand words.” I know we can be our own worst critics, but geesh- I look exhausted!
When I took these photos, I was about a month away from the NYC marathon. I completed my longest run of 16 miles the day before and it was a struggle. I was petrified that I would not be able to finish the marathon. We had just moved into a new house, and I was on my way to work when these photos were taken. And, to top it off, I look a little pudgy from the carbohydrates I was consuming to fuel my body for the long runs! I’ll fill you in on all things related to my marathon experience in a series of upcoming posts. Suffice it to say that the experience on race day made all the hours of training worth it.
The good news is I felt good and comfortable in this cute top and sassy shoes – and I needed some comfort after 16 miles! I love the deep green contrasted by the black in the top. The shoes are from a British shoe company – Sargasso & Grey. The company features wide fit shoes that are stylish and elegant. Direct link to these cute kitten heels is below.
Special thank you to Romwe for the top and to Sargasso & Grey for the shoes.
