It’s that time of year – back to school which also means it’s back to football. This year, football season is even more exciting for me because it is the first year my son is playing Pop Warner. I love the joy I see on his face before every game and even before practice. He truly enjoys the opportunity to compete.
While my family loves spending football Saturdays together, we are a house divided when it comes to our college allegiance. I’m a Florida State Seminoles fan and my husband is a Florida Gators fan. Unfortunately, my husband also brainwashed our innocent child into becoming a Gator. I never thought I would marry a Gator, much less raise one!
Although we are a house divided, we all agree on one thing – gearing up for football season. So, I was thrilled when Hibbett Sports offered me the opportunity to collaborate. In addition, to the college and NFL gear that Hibbett carries in over 1,000 stores nationwide, they now have a brand new online store.
And, of course Hibbett carries shoes. I love Adidas Superstars (you can’t wear heels all the time), and Hibbett has a wide range of sizes available in several different color choices. My son was also thrilled to find a pair of Nikes in his Pop Warner team colors, red and black. And, of course he loves the new Nike Gator backpack he picked up for school. I can’t say he was quite as thrilled with my Noles shirt.
Hibbett Sports is a must for online shopping this Fall for several reasons. First, they have a True Fit feature. When you find a shoe you like, but you are unsure of the size just use the True Fit feature to quickly find your recommended size. They also offer this feature in clothing options. Second, they offer free shipping and returns on all orders over $49. Finally, if you are real sneaker aficionado and want to know when a new shoe is being released – they have a launch calendar. Pretty cool.
The timing of this photoshoot could not be better, because my husband and I just launched our United4ACure fundraising campaign to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation. We will be running the New York City Marathon in November with Team Fox, and we are hoping to unite our two fan bases to support our fundraising efforts. You can visit United4ACure.com to see how our divided house is uniting (and competing) in the quest for a cure.
