I’m loving the off the shoulder trend this season, but it’s not just because it’s super cute. In many ways, this outfit brings back fond memories of my early childhood.
I can vividly recall riding in my dad’s Corvette heading to the beach as a kid – and this outfit reminds me of one trip in particular. There was no backseat, so I was sitting in between the driver seat and the passenger seat (it’s a wonder I survived the 70’s). The t-tops were off (basically a sunroof before there were sunroofs) and the wind was whipping through our hair. My mom and I were wearing bandanas to keep our hair somewhat tamed. My mom was also wearing an off the shoulder peasant style top with embroidery. I loved that top.
So, it’s no surprise that I was sold on this Tory Burch tunic at first sight. I love how a fashion trend making a comeback can transport me to the 1970’s.
