You never know what is going to happen on a photo shoot. I’ve had squirrels photo bomb me, fly-bys from birds (if you don’t know, I’m afraid of birds, but that could be it’s own separate post), and of course occasional comments from people passing by. However, I’ve never had someone shout a compliment from their car in a British accent – until now. In one of the pictures, I’m laughing because a woman stopped at a nearby traffic light rolled down her window and shouted in her British accent, “You look beautiful. Absolutely lovely.” As she jetted away from the light, I shouted back a thank you, but I’m not sure if she heard me. It’s always nice to get words of encouragement and her refined British accent made it that much better.
Now, on to the look. This year for Valentine’s Day, I wanted to feature a couple of non-traditional looks, i.e., little-to-no red. Don’t get me wrong, I love the color red, but in reality I wear a lot of black. Staying true to my style, this first look is a DVF wrap dress. I love the fitted, solid black top contrasted with the bright colors of the full skirt. Honestly, this might be one of my favorite DVF dresses because of it’s classic, yet fun look.
Thanks for reading.
