I recently shared photos from my vow renewal event in New York that highlighted the two dresses I wore. I wanted to share a few more photos from the actual ceremony, which was very special to me.
Ten years later we are stronger than ever. Over the ten years, a lot has happened. He has changed. I have changed. If we hadn’t changed, we probably wouldn’t have made it through the adversity we faced. While we have changed as individuals, I wouldn’t change a thing about our journey together. One thing is for certain, I would not be blogging today if it were not for the unexpected challenges we confronted over the years.
Adversity often leads to great blessings. Blogging has introduced me to some of the kindest and most supportive people I know. Up and coming designer Raul Del Castillo is one of those people. Raul designed the amazing dress I wore during the vow renewal ceremony, and I could not be more honored and grateful for his generosity. I hope you enjoy these pictures of my second trip down the aisle.
I was escorted down the “aisle” by my son.
Our fathers officiated the renewal. Each dad shared a story about me and my husband, as well as their favorite bible verse.
There were lots of laughs.
And tears. Mostly on my part. I got a little emotional reading my vows.
Mr. and Mrs. again.
It was an even more perfect day the second time. We were in our favorite city. We were surrounded by so many special people who traveled from Florida to be with us. Most importantly, we had our son there.
