As we enter the month of November, I am reflecting on how October was a fabulous, fashion-filled month. The centerpiece was Park Avenue Fashion Week 2015. In 2014, I attended my first PAFW and loved it! And, 2015 was even better. I had the privilege of being a brand ambassador for the event. As a brand ambassador, I got to work with the amazing boutiques participating in the runway event, attend fun parties and events including the Emerging Designer Competition.
Here are some of the incredible looks from the talented finalists.
All of the boutiques who participated in the show were incredibly creative with their looks.
The great part about this event is that it raised money for Pink Out Winter Park – an organization that educates the community about the importance of breast health and raises funds for the Winter Park Memorial Hospital Mammography Scholarship Fund. The Fund provides support to woman who cannot afford mammograms. The Fund really makes a difference. In the last four years, the Fund has provided mammograms to 180 women – 6 of whom were diagnosed with breast cancer and went on to receive treatment.
It was great to be a part of an event that features this season’s most fashionable looks from our local boutiques and also does good for local charity. Next year is the 10 year anniversary for PAFW – November 4th and 5th. It’s going to be pretty incredible. So, mark your calendars! I hope to see you there!
